		This coral island lies not far from Bird Island, on the northern edge of the Seychelles bank. The island is reachable via a 30-minute plane flight from Mahe. The large tortoises inhabit this quiet, undisturbed island. The one hotel on the island offers plenty sporting facilities, where windsurfing, sailing, deep-sea fishing, and tennis are amongst the available facilities.


			At the same time the island offers peace and quiet to those who wish it. On Denis, as on the other outer islands, there are no televisions, radios, or newspapers, just complete isolation.




	The sea reaches a depth of 1,800m, and offers some of the best and most beautiful diving and snorkelling in the whole of the Seychelles. For the less adventurous, a glass bottom boat trip will reveal the wonders of the deep without getting wet.
									On land a trip to the old Chapel at the island’s heart, or to the 1910 erected Light House, which is still functioning to this day.
